IZUMO YAYOINOMORI MUSEUM

The Izumo Yayoinomori Museum (出雲弥生の森博物館) in Izumo, Shimane Prefecture, is dedicated to the Yayoi period (approximately 300 BCE–300 CE) of Japanese prehistory. The museum displays artefacts excavated from Nishitani Burial Mounds and other local sites, shedding light on the origins of the Izumo region's ancient culture. The permanent exhibition is free to visit.
