This museum opened in 2005 with the purpose of passing down the history and the present of Okayama City to the next generation. Our activities are not limited to history and art,but also include all fields we take pride in,such as nature and life styles of local people. We use these activities in local education and town development to become a culural and educational hub that can energize and enrich peple's minds.We aim to take a role as a community-friendly museum by sharing various viewpoints of Okayama as well as vitalizing our city with special exhibitions in many fields.
