Hubei Provincial Museum
Hubei Provincial Museum in Wuhan is one of China's most important regional museums, holding over 200,000 artefacts. Its most celebrated collection is the spectacular bronze chime bells (bianzhong) and other treasures from the Tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng (433 BC), considered among the greatest archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. The museum also holds significant collections of jade, lacquerware, ancient weapons, paintings, and calligraphy. Admission is free, but advance online reservation is required.
