Fairywood Glass Museum
Fairywood Glass Museum (妖精の森ガラス美術館) in Kagamino-cho, Okayama Prefecture, is the world's first museum specializing in uranium glass. Its permanent collection features around 90 pieces of uranium glassware from the 19th century to the present, including the world's oldest known uranium glassware (a milk pitcher) with documented production date. The museum hosts three to four special exhibitions a year, an annual collection exhibition by the resident glass artist, and offers glassblowing, lathe (Leutor), and sandblast experience workshops. An on-site art shop sells unique glassware.
