Hagi Uragami Museum

The Hagi Uragami Museum is a cultural institution in Hagi, Japan, dedicated to ukiyo-e woodblock prints and East Asian ceramics. Opened in 1996, the museum houses a remarkable collection donated by Hagi-born entrepreneur Toshiro Uragami, including approximately 5,500 ukiyo-e works by masters such as Hiroshige, Hokusai, and Kuniyoshi, as well as over 570 oriental ceramic pieces and 720 modern potteries including examples of the celebrated 400-year-old Hagi ware tradition. Hagi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, making the museum an important part of the town's cultural heritage landscape.
