Marugame Genichiro-Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art

The Marugame Genichiro-Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art (MIMOCA) is dedicated to the life and work of Genichiro Inokuma (1902–1993), one of Japan's most celebrated modern artists. Located in Marugame, Kagawa Prefecture on Shikoku, the museum houses an extensive collection spanning Inokuma's career from age 20 to 90, including large-scale murals, paintings, and works on paper. The museum features a shop, café, art library, and museum hall, and hosts special exhibitions exploring Inokuma's influence on Japanese and international contemporary art.
