Kokura Castle Japanese Garden

Kokura Castle and its Japanese Garden in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, form a historic complex centred on the only castle keep in Fukuoka, originally built by Hosokawa Tadaoki between 1602 and 1609. Visitors can explore the keep, enjoy seasonal cherry blossoms, try tea ceremony in the garden, see performances by the Kokura Castle Bushou-tai and visit the adjoining Shiro-Terrace.
