KITAKYUSHU MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY & HUMAN HISTORY
The Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History and Human History is one of the largest museums in west Japan. Various large dinosaur skeletons are displayed in the exhibition room. The“Time-Traveling Room” shows the environment of Kitakyushu as it was approximately 130 million years ago with moving dinosaur robots and mechanical models of small animals. The human history zone exhibits various historical items and shows the transition of people's way of life through the eras. The floats of Kitakyushu’s three major local festivals of Kitakyushu are also displayed in the exhibition room.
