KYUSHU　NATIONAL　MUSEUM

The Kyushu National Museum, established in 2005, was Japan's first new national museum in approximately a century. Located in Dazaifu, Fukuoka Prefecture — a historically significant contact point for cultural exchange between the Asian continent and Japan — the museum focuses on Japanese history from an Asian perspective, exploring the cultural formation of Japan in the context of Asian history.
