KYUSHU NATIONAL MUSEUM
The Kyushu National Museum, established in 2005, was Japan's first new national museum in approximately a century. Located in Dazaifu, Fukuoka Prefecture — a historically significant contact point for cultural exchange between the Asian continent and Japan — the museum focuses on Japanese history from an Asian perspective, exploring the cultural formation of Japan in the context of Asian history. It offers permanent and rotating exhibitions, educational programs, and research resources.
