The museum features artworks related to Nagasaki and Spain. Mainly composed of the Suma Collection, the museum's Spain artworks collection is one of the largest in the East. The museum is divided mainly into two buildings located across a canal from each other. Designed by Mr. Kengo Kuma, the buildings won many prizes in building and illumination design competitions.
