Exhibitions of this historical tourist facility introduce the history of Kagoshima at the end of the Edo period and during the Meiji Restoration. Other materials are exhibited according to themes, such as the Atsuhime (Princess Atsu) section and the hands-on “Goju education (education for samurai of that region)” section. In the Meiji Restoration Experience Hall, visitors can enjoy two different dramas portraying that era staged with various techniques.
