Iwatoyama　Historical and Cultural Community Center

The Iwatoyama Historical and Cultural Community Center (岩戸山歴史文化交流館) is dedicated to the Yame ancient burial mounds (古墳群), one of Japan's most significant collections of kofun-period tumuli. The centre introduces visitors to the history and culture of the Yame region, including the remarkable stone-chamber tombs and artefacts from the Kofun period (3rd–7th centuries AD).
