Kanál Expo (Schwarzenberský plavební kanál)
Kanál Expo is a permanent exhibition about the Schwarzenberg Shipping Canal (Schwarzenberský plavební kanál), housed in a historic mill building (stará fořtovna) at Jelení Vrchy on the banks of the canal. Fifteen information panels trace the canal's history from its construction by Joseph Rosenauer (1789–1791) through the primeval forests of southern Šumava, traditional timber floating, the canal's role in supplying firewood to imperial Vienna, the Austrian section, Plešné Lake, and the canal's 20th-century decline and modern restoration. The Schwarzenberg Canal is listed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
