The Mt. FUJI World Heritage Centre, Shizuoka was built as a key facility to pass down the wonder of “Fujisan, sacred place and source of artistic inspiration”, which was inscribed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in June 2013.The Centre introduces various aspects of Mt. Fuji such as its history, culture, and nature.
The central exhibition building is distinguished by its unique form, and there is a helical slope leading upward inside of it. Therefore, visitors can enjoy a simulation of the experience of climbing Mt. Fuji.
