Central Bohemian Museum in Roztoky

The Central Bohemian Museum in Roztoky u Prahy, established by the Central Bohemia Regional Authority and situated on the grounds of Roztoky Castle on the Vltava River bank near Prague, has been forming significant collections since 1957 in archaeology, natural science, history, art history and ethnography. The museum is known for its specialized conservation and restoration workshops, whose services are used by other institutions. Two permanent exhibitions are housed in the castle: "Seigniorial Estate Management" depicting estate manager life during the Liechtenstein era, and "Life in the Resort" showing summer residences from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The Zdenka Braunerová Studio presents the work and personal life of the painter whose artistic output is closely connected to Roztoky.
