Industrieel Smalspoor Museum

The Industrieel Smalspoor Museum (Industrial Narrow Gauge Railway Museum) in Erica, Drenthe, preserves and celebrates the history of the narrow-gauge railway networks that were built across the Dutch peat colonies in the early 20th century for transporting peat and agricultural goods. Visitors can ride authentic narrow-gauge trains, tour a restored factory, and explore the collection of historic locomotives and rolling stock. The museum is set in the landscape where these railways once operated.
