Heemkundemuseum Beek
The Heemkundevereniging Beek (Beek Local History Association) is dedicated to studying, documenting and making accessible the cultural heritage of Beek and its surrounding villages in Limburg, the Netherlands. The volunteer-run association maintains collections of photographs, archival material, prayer cards, brochures, books and periodicals about the town's history, dialect, war years, religion, businesses, buildings, streets and people. Its premises are on the third floor of the Franciscus care home, open Tuesday mornings or by appointment, and the society publishes the quarterly journal BECHA.
