Czech Museum of Music

České muzeum hudby (the Czech Museum of Music), part of the National Museum, holds around 700,000 objects documenting the history of music in the Czech lands. Its collections include an extensive sheet-music archive, a recorded-sound library, the State Collection of Musical Instruments and the heritage of the Bedřich Smetana and Antonín Dvořák museums. Housed in a baroque former church in Prague's Lesser Town since 2004, the museum operates restoration workshops, a documentation centre for musical instruments, and a concert and conference hall.
