Hildo Krop Museum

Hildo Krop Museum in Steenwijk is dedicated to the life and work of Hildo Krop (1884–1970), the celebrated City Sculptor of Amsterdam. Born in Steenwijk, Krop spent forty years in the service of the City of Amsterdam, creating countless works for bridges, parks, and new residential districts built between the two World Wars. The museum presents exhibitions of his sculptures, monuments, memorial stones, and stage masks, and features an extensive digital knowledge centre documenting over 4,000 works across more than 500 pages.
