Archäologisches Museum der Universität Münster

The Archäologisches Museum of the University of Münster, established in 1884, offers extensive insights into the art and craftsmanship of ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern cultures. The collection combines original pieces with large-scale plaster casts and models of ancient monuments, including approximately 10,500 coins organised chronologically and thematically, and 26 site and sanctuary models that illustrate the reconstructed state of ancient buildings and public spaces. The museum is housed on the ground floor of the Fürstenberghaus.
