Buchheim Museum der Phantasie

The Buchheim Museum der Phantasie sits on the shores of Lake Starnberg in Bernried, Bavaria, and houses the eclectic collections of writer-artist-collector Lothar-Günther Buchheim. Highlights include outstanding works by the German Expressionists of the Brücke group and a wide-ranging assemblage of folk art, ethnographic objects from Africa and Oceania, and decorative arts. The museum's modern lakeside building is set in extensive parkland and is connected to the Café Buffi.
