Eise Eisinga planetarium

The Eisinga Planetarium in Franeker is the oldest working planetarium in the world, built between 1774 and 1781 by amateur astronomer Eise Eisinga. The UNESCO-recognized site features an impressive orrery on the ceiling, historical astronomical instruments, an interactive space exhibition, and a screening room exploring modern astronomy.
