Deutsches Hutmuseum

The Deutsches Hutmuseum in Lindenberg im Allgäu tells the story of hat making, the "hat city" of Lindenberg and three centuries of hat fashion. Spread across nearly 1,000 m² of largely barrier-free exhibition space since 2014, the museum invites visitors to try on hats, explore the craft through hands-on stations, watch demonstrations in the "Fabrik-Kino" and discover famous hat-wearers in the "Huttornado". The museum highlights local heroines and heroes of an industry that once produced over four million straw hats a year.
