Deutsches Maler- und Lackierer-Museum

The Deutsches Maler- und Lackierer-Museum in Hamburg is housed in a 400-year-old half-timbered building known as the Glockenhaus, named after its distinctive bell tower. The museum showcases more than 800 years of the painter's craft through historical documents, journeyman and master certificates, guild artefacts and examination pieces, illustrating the working techniques and lives of generations of painters. The museum celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024.
