Deutsches Salzmuseum

The Deutsches Salzmuseum in Lüneburg connects the cultural and industrial history of salt with the city's medieval Saline Lüneburg, where salt was extracted for more than a thousand years. Located in protected industrial monument buildings - the Siedehaus, brine tanks, donkey stables and well house - the museum combines permanent exhibitions, special shows, ships and educational programmes for visitors of all ages.
