Dokumentation Obersalzberg

The Dokumentation Obersalzberg in Berchtesgaden is a museum dedicated to the history of National Socialism. The modern permanent exhibition "Idyll und Verbrechen" (Idyll and Crime) and the historical bunker complex on the Obersalzberg explore the rise, structures, and crimes of the Nazi regime. The museum has been awarded the Luigi Micheletti Award 2025 by the European Museum Academy and was nominated for European Museum of the Year 2026.
