Forschungsmuseum Schöningen
The Forschungsmuseum Schöningen (paläon) is a research museum dedicated to the discovery and study of the ancient Schöningen Spears, the world's oldest preserved hunting weapons (around 300,000 years old), found at a paleolithic site in the Schöningen open-pit lignite mine. The museum presents finds from this systematically researched Lower Paleolithic excavation site and offers insights into the lives of early humans.
