Franckesche Stiftungen zu Halle
The Franckesche Stiftungen zu Halle (Francke Foundations in Halle) form a Europe-wide unique educational complex established by August Hermann Francke at the end of the 17th century. With historical collections housed in Baroque school architecture, exhibitions, and ongoing pedagogical and social projects, the Foundations are far more than a museum - active in cultural, scientific, social and educational life with a mission of improving society through democratic education, social participation and sustainability.
