Freilichtmuseum am Kiekeberg
The Freilichtmuseum am Kiekeberg, set in the idyllic Harburger Berge south of Hamburg, is one of northern Germany's most popular open-air museums. Over 40 historic buildings, lively exhibitions and authentic period interiors trace rural life from the 17th to the 20th century, complemented by gardens, heritage farm animals and traditional crafts. The museum runs an active programme of events, family activities and "living history" days, and operates several outposts including the Wennerstorf museum farm, the Stellmacherei in Langerehm, the Mühlenmuseum in Moisburg and the Feuerwehrmuseum in Marxen.
