Geowissenschaftliches Museum der Universität Göttingen

The Geowissenschaftliches Museum der Universität Göttingen, founded in 1773 as part of the "Königlich Academisches Museum" of the Georgia Augusta, is one of the few museums in Lower Saxony with publicly accessible exhibitions on palaeontology, mineralogy and geology. Its scientifically valuable archives of Earth and life history form the basis for ongoing research, teaching and the museum's exhibition programme.
