The Glasmuseum Frauenau (Staatliches Museum zur Geschichte der Glaskultur) takes visitors on a journey through the cultural history of glass from antiquity to the present, from the earliest glass-making in Mesopotamia to contemporary art. Set in striking modern architecture with 1,300 m² of exhibition space, the museum complements its permanent display with international special exhibitions and museum education programmes that introduce children to the material, craft and creativity of glass.
