Gleimhaus. Museum der deutschen Aufklärung

The Gleimhaus, Museum der deutschen Aufklärung in Halberstadt is the former home of Johann Wilhelm Ludwig Gleim, a focal figure of the German Enlightenment. Centred on Gleim's celebrated Freundschaftstempel (Temple of Friendship), the museum's recently revised permanent exhibition explores the themes of friendship, tolerance, Enlightenment and humanity, complemented by Gleim's garden, special exhibitions, literary prizes, family programmes and a Mediathek of digital offerings.
