Historisches Museum Bremerhaven

The Historisches Museum Bremerhaven documents the history of Bremerhaven and its surrounding region across six permanent exhibition sections, covering themes including the city's founding in 1827, deep-sea fisheries, overseas port history, shipyards, and shipbuilding. The museum's largest exhibit is the last surviving German side trawler, the fishing motor vessel FMS GERA, berthed in the adjacent Fischereihafen. In 2027, Bremerhaven celebrates its 200-year anniversary, a milestone the museum is marking with a major participatory project.
