Landesamt für Archäologie

The Landesamt für Archäologie Sachsen (State Office for Archaeology Saxony) is a government institution under Saxony's Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism. It is responsible for documenting, protecting, and presenting archaeological monuments throughout the Saxon region. The office supports the Staatliches Museum für Archäologie Chemnitz (smac), Saxony's flagship archaeology museum.
