Landesmuseum für Vorgeschichte

Landesmuseum für Vorgeschichte (State Museum of Prehistory) in Halle, Saxony-Anhalt, is home to one of the world's most important prehistoric collections. Its centrepiece is the Nebra Sky Disc — the oldest known depiction of the cosmos — alongside the Halle Sky Disc, gold treasures of the Aunjetitz culture, and remarkable finds spanning the Palaeolithic to the early Middle Ages from central Germany. The museum houses over 10 million objects and is operated by the Landesamt für Denkmalpflege und Archäologie Sachsen-Anhalt.
