Leibniz-Zentrum für Archäologie (LEIZA)

LEIZA (Leibniz-Zentrum für Archäologie) is a major archaeological research institution in Mainz, Germany, under the Leibniz Association. It investigates human development through archaeological materials spanning three million years from prehistoric times through the High Middle Ages, operating three public museum sites: the Museum für Archäologie, the Museum für Antike Schifffahrt (Museum of Ancient Seafaring), and MONREPOS in Neuwied.
