The LVR-Freilichtmuseum Kommern is one of the largest open-air museums in Germany, presenting regional everyday culture through original historic buildings relocated from their original villages and furnished with period-appropriate objects. Open 365 days a year near Mechernich-Kommern, the museum also hosts extensive rotating special exhibitions spanning thousands of square metres.
