Gillelejegruppen

Gillelejegruppen is a Danish memorial site recounting the World War II rescue of Jews from the harbour town of Gilleleje, where in October 1943 the local population organised the escape of more than 1,300 Jewish refugees by fishing boat to neutral Sweden. Guided tours of the historic locations begin every Wednesday at 15:00 from 1 April; private tours can be pre-booked.
