Krudt

KRUDT (Krudtværksmuseet / Gunpowder Mill Museum) is located in Frederiksværk, Denmark, on the site where gunpowder was produced for the Danish army for more than 200 years. Visitors can get close to the production process where saltpetre, sulphur and charcoal were transformed into explosive black powder, see the old machinery in action, and learn about the dangerous work that left its mark on the landscape with protective embankments and shrapnel-catching tall trees. Part of Industrimuseet Frederiks Værk.
