Kronborg Slot
Kronborg Castle in Helsingør is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous Renaissance castles in Northern Europe. Best known as the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet (where it is called Elsinore), Kronborg is also the legendary home of Holger Danske. Part of the National Museum of Denmark, the castle features historic halls, casemates, cannons and winding staircases, with year-round special exhibitions, royal cannon salutes and guided tours of the castle's 600 years of secrets.
