Fængslet

FÆNGSLET in Horsens is a former state prison (closed in 2006) repurposed as a prison museum, hotel, café, conference and event venue, large-scale concert site and home to art and cultural festivals. The museum traces life behind bars and the history of Danish penitentiary practice; visitors can take guided tours led by ex-officers, take part in a "Locked" escape room, sleep overnight in a cell, dine at the on-site Brasserie or play prison football-golf in the yards.
