Aalborg Forsvars- og Garnisonsmuseum tells the story of Danish total defence and emergency preparedness history, with exhibitions covering the 1864 war, WWII occupation, and the Cold War. The museum houses a massive WWII hangar containing armoured vehicles, fighter aircraft, and weaponry, and highlights Aalborg's historical role as Denmark's principal garrison city.
