Faaborg Museum for Fynsk Malerkunst

Faaborg Museum for Fynsk Malerkunst is dedicated to the art of the Funen Painters (Fynboerne), a celebrated group of Danish artists. The museum is itself a Gesamtkunstwerk that combines painting, sculpture, architecture, and furniture design, with the building by architect Carl Petersen and the iconic Faaborg Chair (designed for the museum) considered a masterpiece of Danish furniture history. Visitors can explore Peter Hansen's studio, Kai Nielsen's sculptures, the museum café and shop, and a rich program of exhibitions, family activities, guided tours, and education.
