Museet på Sønderskov

Museet på Sønderskov is a manor house museum in the Vejen municipality of southern Denmark, set within a historic manorial complex surrounded by gardens. The museum's collections encompass cultural history and archaeology — the Vejen area contains some of Denmark's oldest settlement finds and one of the country's largest collections of Stone Age house remains. Exhibitions include textile art displays and "Den Fortryllede Herregård" (The Enchanted Manor). The Vejen Local Archive operates from the site, preserving local history through photographs and documents. The complex also houses Herregårdskælderen, a restaurant serving seasonal and Nordic cuisine, a garden café, a manor shop, and a year-round events programme including midsummer, plant markets and archaeological field courses. Educational programmes for local schools are available free of charge.
