Harteværket

Harteværket is Denmark's first hydroelectric power station and an experiential heritage site near Kolding offering guided tours of the historic plant, canoe rentals on Kolding Å, and family-friendly activities centred on water, energy and movement. Visitors can choose from a one-hour standard tour about the plant's creation or the longer 1.5-hour "In Mikkel Thomsen's footsteps" tour, which includes the new water-retention plan. The site supports school visits and educational institutions.
