Bunkermuseum Hanstholm

Bunkermuseum Hanstholm preserves Northern Europe's largest fortification complex from World War II — the strongest German bastion in Denmark and part of the Atlantic Wall. Visitors can explore the museum's enormous bunker, once home to 90 German soldiers and one of the massive 38 cm cannons, with several rooms restored to their original appearance. The modern Documentation Centre presents exhibitions on the people who lived in and around the bunkers and the weapons used in the Atlantic Wall fortifications, while a vintage ammunition train runs through the site each summer.
