Bakkehusmuseet

Bakkehuset is an authentic Danish Golden Age home on Frederiksberg in Copenhagen, once the residence of Kamma and Knud Lyne Rahbek. In the early 19th century it was a gathering place for writers, artists and scientists including H.C. Andersen, Adam Oehlenschläger, H.C. Ørsted and N.F.S. Grundtvig. Together with its romantic garden, the museum offers an atmospheric insight into 1800s life and forms part of the Frederiksbergmuseerne. The museum is currently temporarily closed.
