Menkemaborg

Menkemaborg is a 14th-century fortified manor house (borg) in Uithuizen, Groningen, one of the finest surviving examples of the distinctive Groningen castle tradition. The castle and its formal baroque gardens are open to the public, offering visitors an authentic glimpse into the world of the Groningen landed gentry through period-furnished rooms, a castle shop, and beautifully maintained grounds.
