Jens Søndergaards Museum

Jens Søndergaards Museum is a small art museum perched on a cliff above the sea at Ferring, near Bovbjerg Klint in western Jutland, Denmark. The museum is housed in Søndergaard's former summer house, which he bequeathed to the then Vandborg-Ferring municipality upon his death. It holds some of his major works alongside a collection of lesser-known paintings and drawings. The dramatic North Sea setting — which so inspired the artist — surrounds the museum, offering views of the coast that feature in many of his seascapes. Visitors can borrow drawing materials and create their own works among the paintings, and listen to audio stories about Søndergaard's life and his relationship with the sea. A family-friendly destination for art lovers of all ages.
