Hauchs Physiske Cabinet

Hauchs Physiske Cabinet is a remarkable collection of physics and chemistry instruments assembled between 1790 and 1827 by chamberlain and overhofmarschal Adam Wilhelm Hauch (1755-1838). Purchased by King Frederik VI in 1815 and donated to Sorø Academy in 1827, the 825-instrument collection is today displayed in custom-designed showcases on the Vænget at Sorø Academy.
